Elis Sivan heads the firm’s property practice, representing major insurers and businesses in disputes involving specialty risks, commercial and residential property, business insurance and contractors’ all risks.
Her practice connects the physical circumstances of a loss with the legal questions that follow: whether the policy responds, which parties may bear responsibility and how the claimed damage should be assessed. Her litigation work involves the examination of technical evidence, policy provisions and the contractual relationships relevant to the dispute.
As head of the practice, Elis brings these issues together within the conduct of property insurance litigation, from the formulation of the parties’ positions through court proceedings and negotiated resolution.
