Marine & Aviation Insurance
Insurance and liability advice for losses involving transport, cargo and aviation risks.
We advise and represent clients in marine and aviation insurance disputes connected with Israel. These matters require consideration of the insured interest, the circumstances of the incident and the contractual relationships between the parties, together with the legal rules applicable to the particular journey, activity or loss.

Cover and the transport record
In marine and cargo matters, we examine the policy, transport documents, delivery records, survey material and the point at which damage or loss is said to have occurred. The analysis addresses the insured interest, the relevant period of cover and the evidence connecting the loss with an insured event. The terms of carriage and the responsibilities of the parties are assessed separately from the insurer’s obligations.
Aviation losses and liability
Aviation disputes call for close attention to the event, the activity insured and the role of the parties against whom liability is alleged. We consider the relevant policy provisions, incident documentation and technical evidence, and identify questions of jurisdiction, applicable law and limitation that may affect the claim. The application of any convention or special liability regime is assessed against the facts rather than assumed.
Coordinating the legal position
We develop the Israeli litigation and settlement strategy around the evidence, contractual allocation of risk and potential recovery rights. Where a matter involves documents or parties outside Israel, we identify the information required to assess the local proceedings and explain the implications for overseas insurance clients. Early attention is given to preserving material and protecting procedural rights.
