Overview
Oz Berkovitz founded the firm in 2013 and leads its insurance and tort litigation practice, representing major insurers and prominent businesses in Israel.
His practice spans specialty risks, cyber insurance, jewellers’ block, professional indemnity and product liability, alongside insurance coverage disputes and civil litigation. He advises on the interaction between policy wording, the circumstances of a loss and the potential liability of the parties involved, bringing the contractual, evidential and commercial dimensions of each dispute into a coordinated litigation strategy.
Oz’s work encompasses early case assessment, coverage analysis, the development of defence arguments and representation in contested proceedings and settlement negotiations. His approach centres on identifying the issues most likely to determine the outcome, testing the evidence against the legal requirements and aligning the conduct of the case with the client’s financial exposure and business objectives.
He regularly lectures at Israel Bar Association conferences on matters within his practice.
Oz is married to Natali and is the father of Yannay, Segev and Atay. Outside his legal practice, he pursues endurance sport, including triathlon and Ironman events.
